LeBron James, a famous basketball player, left the Cleveland Cavaliers and his hometown of Akron, Ohio, when he signed a four-year, $153 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer of 2018. Before the switch, James bought a big mansion in Los Angeles’s posh Brentwood neighborhood for a cool $23 million. This added to his already impressive real estate portfolio, which included another mansion in L.A. and his home in Akron.
