Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s Divorce
It’s over for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner after four years of marriage. The singer and the former Game of Thrones star got married in 2019 after dating for almost three years. They have two children together, Willa and Delphine.
Turner and Jonas filed for divorce at the beginning of September, saying that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” Soon after, the couple said on social media that they were divorcing, calling it “a united decision.”
Turner, on the other hand, sued in Manhattan on September 21 to have their two kids sent back to England. Things began to change at this point. At the beginning of October, the couple made a temporary plan for how to care for their two girls.
Joe and Sophie Put Out a Statement
The couple revealed the news in an Instagram post that read “a statement from the two of us” the day after the divorce was filed.
It said, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have both decided to end our marriage peacefully.” “There are a lot of possible reasons for this, but in reality, we all agree on it, and we hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for our children and us.”

Sophie Sues Joe and Asks Him to Send the Kids Back to England
Jones sued Jonas on September 21, saying that the musician had “wrongfully removed or wrongfully detained” the kids since September 20 and asked him to bring them back to England, where they live permanently.
According to the actress’s complaint, which Rolling Stone was able to see, she and Jonas had planned to make England their “forever home” in December 2022. She also said that she was in the process of buying a house in April, before filming Joan in the summer.
“[Jonas] refuses to return the passports to [Turner] and refuses to send the children home to England,” the lawsuit said. While Jonas was on tour, Turner and Jonas chose to let the kids travel with him because he had “periods of the day to spend time with the children,” even though Turner had “some hesitation,” according to the suit.
“The agreed plan was that the mother would travel to New York to pick up the children and return home to England when she finished filming on September 14, 2023,” the filing said. It was decided that the mother would spend a week with her family in New York before leaving on September 20 to take the kids back to England.
It was said that the divorce “happened very suddenly” after a fight on August 15. It says in the statement that Turner “learned through the media” that Jonas had filed for divorce on or around September 1.
