David Eason Loses Custody of His Daughter to Jenelle Evans After Being Deemed an Unfit Parent

It pours when it rains, and David Eason like to think of it as a deluge. The contentious former cast member of Teen Mom 2 has just suffered a significant setback in his ongoing custody dispute with his daughter Ensley.

David’s custody rights have been revoked in the most recent courtroom drama, giving Jenelle Evans the upper hand and plenty to say about it.

David Lost Custody Over His Seven-Year-Old Daughter

A North Carolina judge deemed David “not fit and proper” to have custody of his seven-year-old daughter during a heated courtroom exchange earlier this month. The judge made a harsh ruling, giving Jenelle interim sole custody of Ensley as well as legal custody.

It’s obvious that David misjudged the gravity of the situation when he decided to skip the hearing. David was preoccupied with flaunting his cartwheel abilities on TikTok Live alongside his new girlfriend, Kenleigh Heatwole, rather than advocating for his parental rights. Let’s discuss priorities!

The judge declared that granting Ms. Eason sole physical and legal custody of Ensley would best serve the child’s interests, with supervised visitation postponed until a psychological evaluation of David is completed.

Although David was absent, the judge emphasized that Ensley’s safety and well-being were the primary concerns in making this decision.

Concerning David’s current living arrangement—which entails living aboard Jenelle’s dilapidated, aging boat—the court didn’t hold back. The judge stated, “The defendant does not reside in a place that would be safe and suitable for the minor child based on the evidence and testimony presented here.”

Jenelle Claims David Doesn’t Go See Their Daughter

Jenelle had more to say about her ex’s shenanigans, as if this drama wasn’t enough. She disclosed that since March, David has not even attempted to get in touch with Ensley and has been completely absent.

Jenelle stated in her testimony that “he asked to speak to her once back in March.” He spoke profanity towards me and requested to text her. We weren’t getting along, but I let him speak to her for fifteen minutes anyhow, and he hasn’t asked to see or spoken to her since March.

David hasn’t even looked in on Ensley during a crucial surgery, as Jenelle’s legal team made clear, nor has he been participating in any divorce or custody proceedings.

A little conflict behind the scenes was also alluded to by Jenelle. David was frantically trying to conceal his secrets after she implied that she might have reported his alleged wrongdoings to the police.

Jenelle is now free to decide for Ensley, including whether or not she will appear on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, since she has been granted temporary sole custody. In October, the reality TV stars are scheduled to return to court to further discuss their divorce and child custody disputes.
