Outer Banks came back with a new season on February 23, 2023. The Pogues and Kooks were back, along with a rivalry between two coastal North Carolina classes. Even though the new ten-episode season is on its way to losing most of its charm and any sense of logic, it is still fun in many ways.
Outer Banks has always been good at knowing what it wanted, but the third season seems to have lost its way quite a bit, with a storyline where anything can happen. This is especially scary because this is one of the few Netflix shows that was picked up for a fourth season before the third season started.
The third season of Outer Banks may have increased the unpleasant aspects or at least made them more apparent. In its depiction of characters and plotlines, it is also bold, more committed, and bonkers, which guilty-pleasure viewers will adore.

Reviews of Outer Banks Season 3:
The third season of Outer Banks has everything swanky. What started out as a sensible story with flashes of bizarreness that made sense has turned into a full-blown, logically flawed adventure ride that is hard to call disappointing at first glance.
It comes from the fact that at the end of Season 2, no matter how exciting it seemed at the time, the characters are in an absurd situation. Season 3 starts a few weeks after the end of Season 2. John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Rudy Pankow), and newcomer Cleo (Carlacia Grant) are stuck on the Carebian island after the showdown at the end of Season 2.
Even though there are some steady parts of the story, the group is quickly thrown into the ridiculous hunt for the lost city of El Dorado, which is a typical part of this genre. A new bad guy shows up, but it’s not nearly as dangerous as the last one.
On paper, Andy McQueen’s Carlos Singh sounds perfect, but he isn’t even close to being as bad as the bad guys of the past. This bad guy is one of the worst in the history of Outer Banks because of both how he is portrayed and how he acts.
The Third Season Lack of Interest Compared to the Previous Two Seasons
The Third Season is More Dramatic And Adventurous
But the new season has more drama, adventure, action, and just more of everything, which is probably enough to keep the old fans interested. But this season isn’t good enough to convince anyone who wants to see something smart and logical. The fourth season could make it much better or much worse. Netflix now has all ten episodes of season 3 of Outer Banks.
Outer Banks Season 3 premiered on Netflix on February 23, 2023 and is a 10-episode adventure ride with a storyline where anything can happen. It is bold, more committed, and bonkers, which guilty-pleasure viewers will adore. The third season of Outer Banks looks lost and lacks interest compared to the previous two seasons. The return of Big John Routledge, John B’s dad, is a stronger plot point, but the show is almost over by the time it gets to the middle.
