Exactly When Can We Expect to See “Season 2 of Elves”?

Why not make a change this holiday season?

When the inevitable “Right, what are we watching?” question comes up during family gatherings over the holidays, it frequently leads to the same argument.

In the end, holiday classics like Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life often take precedence, but they don’t have to be warm and welcoming. There are times when you just crave strange content, and Netflix has it.

The Christmas vacation of a family is cut short by the mythical beings that are the subject of the Danish television series Elves, originally known as Nisser. Yes, it’s a wild ride. But is it over, or will Elves return for a second season?

Is Elves Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix?

So far, neither Netflix nor the show’s creators have said that Elves will return for a second season.

But this shouldn’t make you feel completely down. The first episode of the show came out on the platform on November 28, 2021, so it might be too soon for any concrete news.

Since Netflix distributes and makes so much content, they may have had to become even pickier and more organized about which shows they keep and which ones they get rid of.

Before making a decision, it’s likely that they’ll keep a close eye on how many people watch in December. You may already know that the streamer doesn’t give out numbers to the public. This means that the public can only judge how well a show is doing by where it lands on the “Top 10” list and how long it stays there.

Elves Season 2 Release Date

It’s likely that Netflix will release season 2 of Elves in time for the 2022 holiday season. After all, this is a Christmas-themed horror show. It would be counterproductive for Netflix to debut the show any other time than the winter holidays.

Of course, the story could continue in a later season, but I find that highly unlikely.

We saw some characters killed in the first season of Elves, but not all of them were mauled by bloodthirsty elves.

Synopsis for Season 2 of Elves

We haven’t yet seen the Elves season 2 synopsis, but we have a good idea of where this story could go from here.

We saw the Svade family and Liv leave the island and likely return home at the end of Elves season 1. They’re hopefully leaving the elves behind for good.

However, we see Kee-Ko clinging to their car. Yikes!

So, either we go back to the island with the Svade family to return Kee-Ko, or we don’t. Or the elves will find a way off the island and come after Kee-Ko. In any case, I’m pleased with where the story could go.
