Roger Sexton, who was on Survivor, has died at age 76. A death notice written by his family confirms that the former reality show contestant died on October 26 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Walla Walla, Washington. He had been living with dementia for a long time.

In season six, he had a breakout role and became a fan favorite. Back then, he was already 56 years old. What this means is that he was the oldest player in a game with a lot of younger competitors.
With a lot of work, he could make it through the entire 21 days. The program presents a difficult test of skill. It showed the different challenges a person would face if he got lost in the Amazon jungle.

What Was Roger Sexton’s Cause of Death?
On October 26, 2022, Roger lost a “valiant and courageous battle with Lewy body dementia,” according to his obituary.
He passed away in hospice while residing in Walla Walla, Washington, and was surrounded by his devoted friends and family. His family took solace in the fact that “Roger finally found peace” after such a protracted battle.

Roger had a very active and full life before joining Survivor. Roger joined the United States Marine Corps in 1964 after completing high school, where he developed a passion for skiing and wrestling. From 1966 to 1967, Roger “honorably served his country in Vietnam.”
After returning home, he married Diane Rodrick in 1968 and enrolled right away at California Polytechnic Institute in San Louis Obispo, where he graduated in 1971 with a degree in construction management.
Sadly, one of Roger and Diane’s three daughters passed away from viral pneumonia in 1992.

Roger enjoyed “backpacking in the high country of the Sierra Nevada’s, skiing the powdered bowls of California, Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Colorado, mastering the powdered terrain while helicopter skiing in the Ruby Mountains, and riding the dusty trails of Southern California on his mountain bike” when he wasn’t taking care of his kids, establishing a successful career, or being a devoted husband.
He entered Survivor with the knowledge required to master these tasks.

Many celebrities who knew Sexton from his appearance on Survivor paid their respects after the news broke. “We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Survivor: Amazon’s Roger Sexton. “May he rest in eternal peace,” one viewer wrote.

Roger Sexton Participated in Survivor Season 6 in 2003
2003’s Survivor: The Amazon contestant Sexton lasted 21 days in the jungle. Soon after joining the Tambaqui tribe, he was selected as the team’s leader. Additionally, he was remembered for the conflict he caused with other participants.
In the end, the opposing team surprised him by turning a number of his own team members against him, resulting in his dismissal from the show. According to his obituary, Roger served from 1966 to 1967 in the Vietnam War.
He also earned a degree in Construction Management and built a successful career, eventually rising to the position of Vice President at Tutor Perini Construction, one of the largest contractors in the nation. Roger’s descendants include his wife Diane, daughter Amy, grandchildren, and two sisters.
