Influencer David Allen Reveals the Passing of His 5-Week-Old Daughter, Lily

David Allen, a social media personality, is remembering his daughter Lily, who passed away tragically at the age of five weeks.

On Sunday, August 4, Allen, 35, posted the devastating news on TikTok and Instagram. He started off his statement by saying:

“So, a few summers ago, I posted this video to the internet and it did pretty well,” alluding to the dance video that went viral in 2021. “I also got to go on a lot of trips, hang out with cool people, see celebrities, and do things like be on shows and have interviews.” It was just amazing.

However, Allen went on, “welcoming my baby Lily into the world with my wife Jessica was the coolest thing I’ve ever done.” Approximately one week ago, at midnight, she, five weeks old, departed from this life. I’ve shed all the tears I possibly can.

He said that it is “not easy” to grieve Lily’s passing. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone. Really, I have no idea what to say. I didn’t know how to talk about it, so I waited a week to even bring it up.

With 1.2 million Instagram followers, Allen, who goes by the handle @totouchanemu, said:

He “just wanted to get it out there, I guess.” If you would like to make a donation in Lily Grace Allen’s honor, you can do so to Dallas Children’s [Hospital]. You may see my address on my page if you would want to send something to my wife, me, or our family. It is accessible to you. Or simply go give your child a hug. Tighten their grip. For me.

Tuesday, August 6th, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas, is Lily’s memorial. Allen said, “If you’re not invited, don’t show up.” However, you are free to send a card or flowers if you’d like.

Thousands of individuals had written messages of support for Allen and Jessica as of Monday, August 5.

One commenter on Instagram said, “I can’t begin to fathom the range of emotions that you and Jess are going through.” It’s really hard to hear this. May She Be Shined With Light Forever.”

Another follower mentioned that she lost her newborn daughter a decade ago and shared, “I understand your pain, and all I can say is that, over time, we find a way to live with this pain. Sending all my love to you and your wife.”

On June 14, Allen announced on Instagram that he and Jessica were shortly to welcome their first child. “@jessbird18 is my hero right now. Wife, pharmacist, and now mommy,” he wrote as the photo’s caption. “I’m so excited to meet Lily in a few weeks!”

On June 21, the day of Lily’s birth, he shared her first public image on Instagram. Two days later, on July 16, he shared a cute video of himself cuddling the child while watching TV.

Allen gained popularity on the internet during the pandemic by posting humorous dance videos in which he wears headphones, sunglasses, and cutesy, nerdy attire.
