“A peculiar occurrence known as a “spacequake” decimated the core of Eurasia thirty years ago, resulting in the deaths of a minimum of 150 million individuals. On an intermittent basis, lesser magnitude spacequakes have beset the planet ever since. Shido Itsuka, an apparently commonplace high school student, encounters a girl shrouded in mystery at the epicenter of a spacequake.
It is then revealed that this girl is one of the “Spirits” responsible for the spacequakes that transpire when they materialize in the world. He is enlisted with the mission of utilizing his enigmatic capability to sever the Spirits’ abilities, thereby preventing them from posing a danger to humanity. But there is a condition: in order to solidify the power of a spirit, he must convince her to kiss him and develop feelings for him.
