Imaginary PVOD Release Date – When Did the Movie Theatrically Release?

Lionsgate has officially announced the PVOD release date for their recently released horror thriller, Imaginary, which stars DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, and others. Imaginary will be available on premium video on demand and premium electronic sell-through platforms on March 26, 2024.

The film will be sold for $24.99 and rented for $19.99 for 48 hours. The film is available on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and Vudu.

What is Imaginary About?

“When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement,” according to the trailer for the film.

“Alice begins playing games with Chauncey that begin innocently but become increasingly menacing. As Alice’s conduct grows increasingly worrying, Jessica intervenes, only to discover that Chauncey is much more than the plush toy bear she thought he was.”

Jeff Wadlow wrote and directed Imaginary, while Greg Erb and Jason Oremland wrote the script. It was created by Jason Blum, Jeff Wadlow, p.g.a., and Tower of Babble. The horror film stars DeWanda Wise (Someone Great) as Jessica and Pyper Braun (Country Comfort) as Alice. The remaining cast members include Tom Payne (MindGamers), Taegen Burns (The Gateway), Veronica Falcón (A Million Miles Away), and Betty Buckley (Split).

Theatrical Debut of the Imaginary

The theatrical debut of Imaginary occurs on March 8, 2024. By collaborating with Lionsgate, Blumhouse produced Imaginary, which was initially released exclusively in theaters. The film will be available in theaters for the first time on March 8, 2024.

This is more than a month later than anticipated, as the February 2024 release date of Imaginary was postponed by Lionsgate and Blumhouse. The length of time that Imaginary remains in theaters will be determined by its box office performance, as it must be profitable to maintain adequate attendance.

The anticipated delay for Imaginary’s streaming release date is considerable, although Lionsgate has not yet confirmed the exact time. Peacock is authorized to stream the film during the Pay 2 window per Lionsgate’s agreement with NBCUniversal.
