The live-action Peter Pan movie from Disney is almost ready to come out, and now we have a trailer to prove it.

Official Synopsis of Peter Pan & Wendy Movie

The movie’s official plot synopsis says,

“Peter Pan & Wendy” introduces Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.”

The classic movie’s characters look like they’re getting some much-needed updates, but the plot seems to be about the same. If you haven’t seen or read anything about J.M. Barrie’s story, it’s about a young woman named Wendy Darling and her two brothers, John (Joshua Pickering) and Michael (Jacobi Jupe), who meet Peter Pan, the boy who will never grow up and can fly through the sky like a bird.

Peter, with the help of his trusted fairy friend Tinker Bell, gives the Darling children the ability to fly. He then takes them to his home, Neverland, where they fight the evil Captain Hook and his group of pirates alongside Peter’s group of Lost Boys. Even though the new title may seem like a small change that doesn’t mean much in the big picture, the fact that Wendy’s name is in it is important, as the cast pointed out at the D23 Studio Showcase. Ever Anderson said that her version of Wendy is being treated the same as Peter Pan. Wendy and Peter will travel through Neverland together, but she won’t just be the female lead.

Alyssa Wapanatahk, who will play Tiger Lilly, has also said that her character has changed a lot from the typical damsel in distress she was in the first movie.
