My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999 is a slow-moving romance comedy about a college student named Akane Kinoshita who just got dumped by her boyfriend. In a fit of anger, she logs into a role-playing game (RPG), where she meets Yamada Akito, a guild member whose avatar is an afro wizard wearing a noh mask.
In the series, Yamada is shown to be a bored gamer boy. But the way he acts soon gets Akane’s attention, and as she gets over her breakup, her interest in him grows. So, the most interesting thing that could happen in this anime would be for two very different characters to fall in love.
