Kelly fought against Catherine Milares in the co-main event of Fury Pro Grappling 2 on October 29, 2021 and won the match via unanimous decision.Kelly was scheduled to face Rose Namajunas at Fury Pro Grappling 3 on December 30, 2021.However, Namajunas was forced to withdraw from the event at the last minute due to a positive COVID-19 test and was replaced by Carla Esparza.During the match, Esparza knocked Kelly out of full guard and the resulting head clash opened a cut above Esparza’s eyebrow. The attending doctors called off the match and Kelly was awarded the victory due to the injury.

Danielle is a BJJ black belt. According to her Instagram post, she said that the reason she entered jiu-jitsu was because she was being bullied at school. BJJ players train with Silver Fox Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She trains under coach Karel Pravek, who awarded her a black belt last year in 2020.

Currently, Kelly competes in grappling matches as a strawweight. She would favour making her MMA debut at atomic weight. Daniels competed in the Fury Professional Grappling 1 event earlier this year in July. She competed against multi-time jiu-jitsu champion, Sofia Amarante, and defeated her via submission.

Danielle Kelly also competed against Katherine Milares, a Purple Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, for FURY Professional Grappling 2 and defeated her as well. Kelly has also won grappling matches against UFC fighters such as Roxanne Modafferi and Cynthia Calvillo.
