That 90s Show Season 2: Renewed or Cancelled Status
There has been no word from Netflix yet on whether or not Season 1 will be renewed for a second season. But we shouldn’t lose faith just yet, because Netflix usually gauges viewer interest in a show before announcing its renewal.
That 90s Show Season 2: Release Date
While Fuller House only took nine months between seasons, the average time between seasons for Netflix comedies like One Day at a Time and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is around a year. That ’90s Show might return as early as winter 2023 if it gets renewed for a sixth season.

Will there be a second season of ‘that 90s show’ on Netflix?
As of now, Netflix has not announced any plans for a season two renewal. Having said that, we’re quite sure Season 2 of That ’90s Show is happening. In addition to being a part of a well-known series, the sitcom’s first season was well-received by critics and has a high Tomatometer score of 72% on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
Without giving too much away, the season finishes on something of a romantic cliffhanger, which could mean there are plans for a second season. Due to its early success (it’s currently at the top of Netflix’s Top 10), we have no doubt that Netflix will order a second season of That ’90s Show.
The Cast of That ’90s Show Season 2
Unfortunately, we don’t know who would star in season two of That ’90s Show just yet because it hasn’t been confirmed.
On the other hand, we anticipate the return of Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, Sam Morelos, Debra Jo Rupp, and Kurtwood Smith, as well as Callie Haverda in the role of Leia. Both Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who played Jay’s parents Michael and Jackie, and also Topher Grace, who played Leia’s father Eric, would be welcome back.
What’s “That ’90s Show” About?
Leia Foreman, the teen daughter of Donna and Eric, is the protagonist of the 2023 show. Eric’s interest in Star Wars isn’t coincidental with her name. After spending the Fourth of July with her grandparents Red and Kitty in Point Place, Wisconsin, Leia decides to spend the rest of the summer there, thanks to the welcoming company of her new friends Gwen, Ozzie, Nikki, Nate, and Jay (the son of Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart).

The protagonist develops close relationships with both Leia and Gwen, as well as with Jay, the town’s notorious “player.” Leia has a hard time leaving Wisconsin when she and Jay start dating since she has become attached to her new friends and all the exciting things they get up to.
What happens in Season 2 of That ’90s Show?
By the season’s end, viewers have seen the beginnings of a love triangle involving Nate, Leia, and Jay, a triangle that Nate’s current girlfriend Nikki had no idea was developing. That will undoubtedly be a major story aspect in a future season, and given how powerfully Ozzie cries for Leia to return, we can safely infer that the producers are eager to get back to Point Place next summer.
