Although season 5 of Stranger Things has not yet aired, many can’t wait to see how the tale concludes.
Will (Noah Schnapp), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and the company will be waging a good fight until the end of the upcoming season of the popular Netflix drama.
The Duffer brothers, the show’s creators, have said that even Netflix executives couldn’t keep their tears in check when watching the pilot, so what hope do the rest of us have?!
Exactly what moved them to tears is yet unknown, but it should be hoped that it has nothing to do with the impending deaths of any further members of the Hawkins gang. It was sad enough to lose Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson (though fans have hope he could make a comeback for season 5).
Sadie Sink, who plays Max, has said that saying goodbye to the character will be “terrible,” therefore the cast has hinted at a touching conclusion. Schnapp has hinted at a “wonderful” conclusion for Will, so things are (finally) looking up for him.
“In the meantime, I’ll just say that I couldn’t be more thrilled about what’s to come. In my opinion, this season did a fantastic job developing Will’s character and elegantly addressing all the issues that had to be dealt with “According to Forbes, he said as much.
“That was a great way to end the episode; Will was the beginning and the end of the story.” What characters may return and when Season 5 of Stranger Things will likely be available on Netflix are discussed below.
Will There Be a Fifth Season of Stranger Things?
It’s true that production on Stranger Things Season 5 began in August 2022. A photo of a whiteboard bearing the Stranger Things logo and the text “Day 1” was posted to the Twitter account of the show’s creators, confirming the news.
After Netflix and the Duffer Brothers announced in February 2022 that Season 4 would be the “beginning of the end,” the decision was made to renew the series.
An official statement from them read: “We plotted out the entirety of Stranger Things’ story seven years ago. Back then, we estimated that the show would last for at least four full seasons. It was too much to tell in four parts, but as you’ll see, we’re racing toward the climax now. Season 4 will be the series’s runner-up to the final season, which will air in Season 5.
“The world of Stranger Things has plenty of room for many more thrilling narratives to be told, complete with brand-new mysteries, adventures, and surprising heroes.
It begins, “But first, we hope that you stay with us as we conclude this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave companions, of a broken police chief and a furious mom, of a small town called Hawkins and an alternate world known only as the Upside Down.”

Wolfhard has also recently hinted at a possible spin-off, saying that he offered an idea to the Duffer brothers, who then revealed that they had been mulling the idea all along.
When Will “Stranger Things 5” Be Released?
Season 5 may not hit Netflix until 2024, but the fact that filming has begun is exciting news, especially considering that viewers had to wait three years between Seasons 3 and 4.
We have no idea how the new season will be released either. While the first three seasons were released in their entirety at once, season four was split into two volumes, with the first containing seven episodes and the second including two.
The Cast of Stranger Things 5
- Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers
- Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven
- David Harbour as Jim Hoppe
- Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheele
- Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson
- Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair
How Many Episodes Are There in Stranger Things Season 5?
Until we hear otherwise, we may assume that Season 5 will be around the same length as Seasons 1-3 (8 episodes), Seasons 2-4 (9 episodes), and Seasons 3-5 (10 episodes). The length of the show’s final season will depend on the amount of plot the Duffer brothers want to wrap up.
With the exception of the season finale, the episodes will also have substantially shorter runtimes than they did in season 4. The Duffer brothers have stated that the season 5 finale will be “at least two hours,” although not as lengthy as the season 4 finale.
Matt Duffer hinted that the ending “will be fairly huge” in another interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

As for Stranger Things 5, What Can We Expect From it?
With the release of Season 4, fans can begin to speculate about what will happen in Season 5.
Vecna’s backstory, his relationship with Eleven, and his origins are all now known to the audience. Season 5 will undoubtedly continue that storyline now that we know via Will’s senses that he is still lurking over Hawkins. Also, there’s the fact that the Upside Down has officially made its way into Hawkins.
The Duffer brothers hinted in an interview with Variety that the lingering mysteries of the Upside Down, especially the significance of the Upside Down being locked on the date that Will was taken back in 1983, will be the main emphasis of season 5.
The moment when they realize it’s frozen in time is acted out, but “we don’t actually resolve that this season,” they stated. “It’s a big deal in the fifth season, so we wanted to start people talking about it and thinking about it,” the producers said.
