The renowned Madame Tussaud’s has memorialized reality TV mogul Andy Cohen in wax, and the Bravo executive joked that the model-making process was… extensive.
So far this year, Andy has faced lawsuits from Real Housewives, expressed his dread of being “cancelled,” alarmed viewers with his “dark demeanor,” and most recently, Kenya Moore’s ex-husband referred to him as Bravo’s “snake-in-chief.”
Andy recently came clean and said that he was offended that Watch What Happens Live wasn’t included in the late-night TV club. As a result, he probably valued being included in Madame Tussaud’s even more.
The Victorian-era wax museum Madame Tussaud’s released a YouTube video in January that showed how Andy Cohen’s wax sculpture was created.
Madame Tussaud’s usually needs three to four months to finish a wax figure, and Andy’s was just revealed.
Cohen Mentioned That Andy Wax Has ‘Had It Going on’
Andy’s first glimpse at his wax replica was posted by Madame Tussaud’s on Instagram on August 15th. The Reel was captioned:
“Andy Cohen’s new wax figure is finally here, Bravoholics!
“Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’s next guest, YOU, and watch the legendary Bravo Clubhouse set come to life. Madame Tussauds New York only has it!”
When Andy saw it, he looked at the copy of his Watch What Happens Live set and was clearly excited and shocked.
“Really special,” he exclaimed, describing the wax sculpture and set:
“I believe I can croak while strolling down 42nd Street, and everything will be OK.
“I’ve got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and now I’m in Madame Tussauds. I’ve made it!”
Additionally, Andy spoke with Extra! about his recently debuted wax figure.
When the interviewer asked Andy to name the “creepiest detail” on the wax figure, he replied, “my crossed eyes.”
In addition, Andy revealed the sculpture on the August 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live and talked about some of the more personal features of the figure on his late-night program.
He specifically informed Tamra Judge of Real Housewives of Orange County that the waxwork is, in fact, extremely detailed.
According to People, Andy made light of the fact that Madame Tussaud’s had concealed every inch of his body throughout the creation process:
“Cohen continued, joking with guest Tamra Judge that the figure is ‘anatomically correct.'”
Wax Andy seems cuter, in my opinion. He stated on the program, “He’s got it going on.” “To be honest, I’m a little envious of wax Andy!”
It seems that Madame Tussaud’s wax sculptures are not “anatomically correct,” despite the fact that we were unable to locate any conclusive information to that effect.
Andy mentioned on Watch What Happens Live one more how significant the award was for him, recalling a 1988 trip to Madame Tussaud’s in London.
He pondered:
“At the time, I never imagined that I would go down in pop cultural history as one of the most… I had to pinch myself. It’s a tremendous honor.
People also cited Andy’s congratulations from John Stamos on Instagram:
“Whoa! Do you own a wax figure of yourself? For the first time, I felt jealous of you at that moment. Okay, perhaps on the second occasion.”
Commenters on Instagram concurred that Andy Cohen’s wax sculpture was remarkably lifelike, with one writing:
“This could be the most realistic one I’ve ever seen; it left me speechless.”
Andy frequently expressed his want to go show it off to Anderson Cooper, saying he was “very flattered” by the attention to detail.
