Star of The Boys Claudia Doumit claims that having success in Hollywood has made her reconsider having a nose operation.
Speaking on a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Doumit, 32, revealed that she had thought about having surgery earlier in her career.
“It’s a gorgeous nose that’s half Italian and half Lebanese,” she remarked on stage on Friday, July 26. “It is incredibly powerful.” Nevertheless, “I’ve always known that when I book my first job, I’m going to get a nose job,” even as a little child. After I get compensated for it, I’m going to get a nose job.
The pressure to have plastic surgery “was fed to me for many, many years,” the woman claimed. I’m using the word “job” a lot here, but I didn’t get a nose job when I booked my first work, she laughed.
“However, I didn’t receive a nose job, so I booked the following job with the belief that I would get it right away. I later failed to get a nose job. I then continued to book gigs but was not getting any nose jobs. One day, I kind of recognized that my appearance was what was getting me gigs, so I reasoned, “Oh, I don’t need a nose job because I’m booking jobs.”
The Australian actress made her TV debut in 2016 in the NBC science fiction series Timeless. She later ventured into video games, appearing as Farah Karim in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. Victoria Neuman is a politician and covert supervillain that Doumit now portrays in the Amazon Prime superhero series The Boys.
“I’m doing the thing that I love and I’m doing it the way that I look,” Doumit clarified. Furthermore, the conventional story isn’t what it is. It’s not what many people would consider to be beautiful. However, I believe it’s gorgeous and I would like to see more women with large noses on film. Go now, sweetie.
Off-screen, Doumit has been connected to Jack Quaid, a costar of The Boys who has portrayed tech wizard Hughie Campbell and one of the good guys since the show’s 2019 premiere, since June 2022. 2020 saw Doumit join the cast.
According to an exclusive insider who spoke with Us Weekly in July 2023, the pair is “still together and are going strong.”
Quaid, 32, the son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, was keeping his personal life under wraps as his career took off. Like his mother, he’s a very private person these days, the insider said. (Ryan, 62, and Dennis, 70, divorced in 2000 following a nine-year union.)
