Singer Kesha has been exposing “body shaming” fans on social media platforms like as X and Instagram. Her comments have become so viral that they are breaking over the Top 40.
Kesha posted a pair of photos on Twitter and Instagram on July 7th, and her remarks struck a chord with followers worldwide.
After a protracted period out of the public eye, Kesha, aged 37, recently released a new track titled “Joyride,” which has increased attention to and scrutiny of her social media posts.
Kesha was the focus of two intrusive back-to-back Daily Mail pieces on her physique in late June and early July. Comments on the latter were incredibly vicious and insane, dissecting her in terrible detail. It is unclear which “body shaming” content inspired Kesha’s posts.
Still, Kesha’s remarks struck a chord with followers on all of the platforms.

Kesha’s ‘Body Shaming’ Posts Immediately Gained Viral Appeal
Kesha posted nearly identical pictures to social media on July 7th: one on X (formerly Twitter) and the other on Instagram.
Additionally, the identical two pictures were attached to each post. Kesha is seen in the first picture posing on the ground while sporting a black bikini.
In the second, she’s wearing what looks to be the same bikini while standing on a balcony overlooking the beach and sporting a baseball cap that says, “I’d rather be ghost hunting.”
Although Kesha’s bikini photographs were eye-catching, it was her comments that really resonated. She started off by saying:
“I didn’t imagine body shaming would still exist in 2024, but. I love my physique so much. She’s experienced a lot. She ended the performance despite having injured her anterior cruciate ligament on stage.
“She’s kept my [expletive] shattered heart mended. Although some may believe you’re humiliating me, you’re really giving me a strong sense of self-worth.”
Kesha mentioned a propensity to “tear other women down” at the end of her tweet, which seemed to allude to a specific case of “body shaming.”
“I thus hope that one day you will feel complete enough to stop putting other women down. Hate me even more [crap] in the interim 💪🏻.”
One prevalent question posed by users on Reddit’s celebrity gossip forum, r/Fauxmoi, was what exactly about Kesha’s body could anyone be critical of, and what spurred these posts?
Commenters expressed confidence in Kesha’s posts about their bodies despite the misunderstanding, and it’s clear that they meant it:
“It’s impossible for me to body shame someone, but I also don’t know what someone could ‘discover’ about a woman’s body that would be offensive.
“What a powerful, gorgeous woman. Furthermore, the statement “She’s holding my [expletive] broken heart together” surprised me and increased my appreciation for my body.”
Another said, rather simply:
Right now, we need more Kesha.
Kesha Has Battled an Eating Disorder and Has Previously Been Body Shamed
It would be negligent to overlook the fact that Kesha has had a difficult career (without any fault of her own), most of it has been attributed to the protracted court struggle she faced.
The musician Kesha’s battle with an eating problem was covered in a June 2023 US Magazine story titled “‘I Don’t Know What My Pant Size Is’: Kesha Details ‘Beautiful’ Recovery From Eating Disorder.”
When viewed in light of Kesha’s recent body-shaming tweet, her own recent remarks lend weight to the current message. She talked about how liberating it was to finally be at ease with her body and how difficult it was to get there:
“It would have been impossible to tell me ten years ago, but there is release from that addiction… To get there, labor is required.
“But sitting here, not counting calories, unaware of my pant size, and not weighing myself is such a beautiful feeling.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, back in May 2016, Kesha objected against fat shaming on Instagram, saying something like this:
“I’ve been struggling with eating disorders and depression for a while. There are peculiar times when I feel like I’m fighting an uphill battle in my work.
However, I’ve made the decision to reclaim my life. My autonomy. My contentment. My speech. My value… A big ol’ [expletive] u, too, if you want to despise my physique. Just keep in mind that it makes you appear [derogatory].”
It’s evident that Kesha’s body-shaming statements empowered both the singer and her followers, as the vast majority of comments on both posts expressed appreciation and respect for the musician.
