“Not all characters have happy endings, but satisfying ones. These characters will go on, so we can’t say, ‘They received everything they wanted at the conclusion of the season.’ We’re preparing for that. We’ll let fans fill in the gaps—these people are happy and have promising futures.”

That may sound like her character dies, but Savre has stated she would reprise Bishop if given the chance, suggesting she survives Episode 9’s cliffhanger.

Savre and her co-star, Stefania Spampinato, said, “Of course we’re open to it:”

Of course we’re interested. Maybe we’d get death threats if we replied, ‘No, there’s no chance, we’ll never work together again.’ This industry is completely out of our hands. However, if ABC or Shondaland said, “We want a ‘Marina’ spinoff where you guys live on a boat and a marina,” we would say, “Yes!”

Although her character could die in the series finale, Savre is ready to say goodbye to Station 19 and her character.

Before the series ends, she told Parade, “Maya has gone on such a rollercoaster,” and she hopes she finds “peace and happiness”:

“Maya has developed so much in seven seasons of rollercoaster. I started this season with Maya more calm than ever. After Maya and Carina adopted Liam and her brother joined a white supremacist group, she’s taking everything well and using her years of treatment to become who she is. I wish her peace and joy.”
