My Spy: The Eternal City: Dave Bautista Teams Up With Chloe Coleman for School Trip to Italy

The upcoming spying comedy film My spy: The Eternal City is being directed by Peter Segal and will be released in the United States. The actors Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal, and Ken Jeong will all reprise their roles from the previous film in this sequel to the film My Spy, which is scheduled to be released in 2020.

JJ is convinced to accompany Sophie on her school trip to Italy, where they become involved in a terrorist plot.

As a result of the success of the film on Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Studios and STXfilms started looking into the possibility of producing a sequel to the film in August of 2020.In February of 2023, it was announced that Peter Segal would be returning to direct the picture, and that Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal, and Ken Jeong would all be reprising their roles.

It was also announced that Flula Borg, Anna Faris, and Craig Robinson would be joining the cast, and production would commence in the same month. In May of that same year, the filming season came to an end in Venice.

What is the Storyline of ‘My Spy: the Eternal City’?

My Spy: The Eternal City is a spy comedy film which is directed by Peter Segal. In this movie, JJ, played by Dave Bautista, was a CIA agent who went undercover to take care of Sophie, played by Chloe Coleman, in order to get closer to Sophie’s family in the film My Spy. Three years later, The Eternal City resumes up where it left off.

JJ has been employed at the Langley office of the Central Intelligence Agency. In order to fulfill his role as a chaperone for Sophie’s class trip to Italy, the agency sends him back into the field.

The theatrical release of My Spy was planned to take place in the year 2020 from STX. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, cinema theaters were forced to close their doors, and STX offered the film to Prime Video.

Ken Jeong and Kristen Schaal reprise their roles, with Craig Robinson, Anna Faris and Flula Borg joining the cast. Pete Segal returns to direct and co-write with Erich and John Hoeber.
