The type of cancer Morgan was diagnosed with and the duration of his battle with it remain unclear. However, Morgan’s admission that he was also inebriated during the production of the documentary put some of the results into question.
Morgan’s reputation was significantly damaged in 2017 when he acknowledged that he was a contributing factor to the issue that the #MeToo movement sought to resolve. In an extensive Twitter thread, Morgan disclosed that he had been unfaithful to all of his partners and had sexually harassed a former assistant. Additionally, he disclosed that he had been accused of rape during his college years. Morgan’s confession in essence terminated his career as a documentary filmmaker.
