The daughter of Zayn Malik might not have received the X-Factor from her father. The former member of One Direction even hinted that Khai, age three, possibly inherited her innate musical abilities from her mother, Gigi Hadid.
Zayn described Khai’s abilities on The Zach Sang Show on May 8 as follows: “She’s not an expert, but she has a little rhythm when she hits the drums and whatnot.” “You can tell that she could definitely develop that into something.”
Regarding the model, he conceded, “Her mother was quite proficient at Guitar Hero on the drums, and I thought, ‘Perhaps she picked that up from her mother,’ since I was abhorrent at it and G would constantly beat me.'” “As the musician, I was defeated by her in this game!”
Additionally, the 31-year-old stated, “Khai possesses a touch of natural rhythm.” However, Khai is not solely honing her abilities on the instruments. She is vocals are another area of focus. “She knows whole songs, like word for word,” he revealed. “She sings them completely and doesn’t miss a lyric. She is crazy. She can also run little trills—three or four notes in one take.”
Although Zayn, who divorced from Gigi in 2021, recognises Khai’s artistic potential, he can’t help but be impressed by her overall development.
“It’s amazing to see any part of her development, not even just in the musical sense—just in the human sense,” he commented. “Her retention for language and her understanding for words is really impressive.”

“She remembers entire books that I’ve read to her and she’ll read the book back to me,” according to Zayn. “She doesn’t know what the words are, but she remembers what I said on the pages and she’ll read the story back to me.”
Parenthood had a profound impact on the life of the “Pillowtalk” vocalist. Moreover, he continues to test his limits while navigating his personal journey for Khai, as he previously disclosed.
“Since the birth of my daughter, setting a good example for her has been my top priority,” he stated in June on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “You know, that’s the very reason I’m conducting this interview. A considerable amount of apprehension used to surround this type of conversation. Furthermore, I desire for her to be able to gaze at me and exclaim, “My father is doing this.”
