On Monday, the ‘Vampire Diaries’ alumna shared this unfortunate news via Instagram from her hospital bed, where she was wearing a knee brace AND a neck brace and was connected to a monitor.
Nina seemingly ascribed her present condition to an e-bike, as her initial slide in the upload showcased her adorably clad in a little black costume and positioned atop the vehicle. Sadly, the positive emotions did not endure for long… as she wrote in the post’s caption, “How it began versus how it’s progressing 😎.”
Nina responded to the fervent inquiries of her followers regarding her injury via her Instagram Stories, where she assured them that she would be fine despite the “prolonged road to recovery.” Nina is notoriously athletic and daring, and she frequently documents on social media her athletic exploits with Olympian beau Shaun White.

Nina is certainly not the first celebrity to have her plans dashed by an electric bicycle. For instance, in 2020, Simon Cowell was involved in an e-bike accident that resulted in a severe back injury that necessitated six hours of surgery to insert a metal rod into his back.
Nina Dobrev Says ‘The Path to Rehabilitation is Lengthy’
Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, Nina Dobrev’s boyfriend, added a comment saying, “Just keeping things on brand.” Later, on her Instagram Story, the actress stated that she will be OK, sharing another photo of herself seated in a hospital bed. She said, “I’m okay, but I have a long road of recovery ahead of me.”
Days before the disaster, White said that he and Dobrev were in the process of completing his bucket list after he stopped snowboarding. “We’ve had a lot of pleasure spending time together. She’s usually filming a project or something while I’m out competing. “But we have some time together now,” White said in an interview with Us Weekly.

Dobrev routinely posts images of her exciting life with Olympic gold medalist and lover Shaun White. The couple began dating in 2020, and two years later, they made their red carpet debut at the London premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, starring her ex-boyfriend Glen Powell.
Nina Dobrev’s Next Project
Dobrev makes her next appearance on the big screen in the suspense film Reunion, which follows a group of high school classmates as they investigate a murder. Digital copies of the film, which also features Jamie Chung, Lil Rel Howery, Billy Magnussen, Jillian Bell, Chace Crawford, and Jamie Chung, will be made available on June 28.
