Plot of One Day

Leo Woodall, who plays Dexter in One Day, describes how the show begins, saying, “Dexter initiates the appointment with Emma. He sees this girl, falls in love with her right away, and has the confidence to approach her and start a conversation. I believe people become aware of their connection early on, whether consciously or unconsciously.”

Leo says, “I’d had many different rounds of auditions, as Ambika did, and I was kind of exhausted by the end of the process,” when he learned he would be portraying Dexter in One Day. I just laid on the floor and let out a sigh when I eventually received the call confirming my casting; afterwards, I became quite excited!
“I don’t really dress like Dexter, so there were definitely days when I was really aware of the period element of the 1980s and 1990s, and there were a couple of dodgy haircuts!”
