Thankfully and unsurprisingly, Beyond Paradise will return for a second season. Beyond Paradise, a successful spin-off of Death in Paradise will transport viewers to the idyllic fictitious hamlet of Shipton Abbott.
The Christmas special for the cozy detective drama Beyond Paradise, which debuted at the end of the previous year, featured a number of peculiar burglaries involving Shipton Abbott, Kelby attempting to catch a shoplifter, Martha pondering her future, and Esther’s daughter Zoe working in Santa’s grotto. It was a lighthearted and uplifting episode. Chief Superintendent Charlie Woods remained perplexed as to why the modest police station in Shipton Abbott should continue to operate.
The release date for the forthcoming season of Beyond Paradise has been fixed. The second season of Beyond Paradise will premiere on March 22 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom. Each week, new episodes will be released.
While Beyond Paradise is currently available to stream on BritBox in the United States, the second season has not yet been officially confirmed for release. BritBox has already announced its March 2024 schedule and Beyond Paradise does not appear to be included. It will ideally reach the United States shortly.
Beyond Paradise Season 2 Release Date
BBC One’s Beyond Paradise season 2 premieres on Friday, March 22, at 8:00 p.m. Yes, the start date has now been confirmed by the BBC, and episodes will also be accessible on iPlayer.
Plot of Beyond Paradise Season Two
“We’ve got a murder on a steam train, a medium who predicts arson attacks — that’s quite a good one — a local fishing legend lost at sea,” Kris said during a chat on The One Show. We have a ton of excellent material.”
Furthermore, we anticipate Humphrey and Martha will tie the knot in the second season since they have reconciled after the heartbreaking series finale. And that creates a ton of opportunities for crossovers with Death in Paradise. Is it possible for Camille Bordey (Sara Martins) to go back and witness her former boss’ wedding?
Pictures taken behind the scenes seem to show Humphrey and Martha being married in the Devon town of Shipton Abbott. Despite being on the beach, Martha is dressed in a traditional bridal gown even though she is wearing flip-flops! Even though Humphrey appears somewhat polished when wearing a suit, he’s usually a little messy! Thus, it is very likely that the wedding will happen in series 2.

As Humphrey, Esther, and company continue to solve murders, Shipton Abbott will once again serve as the show’s center. To prevent Humphrey’s boss from using the police station’s closure as an excuse, they will strive to ensure that as many crimes are solved as possible.
We anticipate that Esther’s character will be further explored in the second season, along with a host of fascinating guest performers.
According to Kris, the IVF plot from the first series is no longer being explored in the show. “I’m very proud of how the IVF storyline was handled — I think it’s an important story to address well because it means so much to so many people and you don’t want to mess it up,” he remarked in an interview with us prior to the holiday special.

But now that we’ve moved on, let’s talk about Humphrey and Martha’s potential next stages in their adventure. I’ll let the knowledgeable viewers speculate about what they believe that voyage would entail.” Humphrey and Martha will take on the role of foster parents in the upcoming season.
