Pierce had a great season in his last year at Arizona. He had three sacks, 77 tackles, caused two fumbles, intercepted a pass, and blocked a kick, which got him extra attention in his conference.
Pierce did well in college, but he wasn’t picked in the 2001 NFL Draft. A lot of scouts didn’t think he was big enough to play safety in the NFL.
