Reggie White Wife: The Actress, Producer, and Widow of the Minister of Defense

From 1985 to 2000, Reggie White played in the NFL for 15 years. He was one of the best defensive ends of his time.

White unfortunately died on December 26, 2004, from a heart problem caused by the sarcoidosis he had for years. He died when he was only 43 years old.

Reggie had a special bond with his family all through his life. In January 1985, he married Sara White, who had been his partner for a long time. They were together for almost 19 years before Reggie’s unexpected death.

Who is Reggie White?

Reginald Howard White played defensive end for the United States in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 years, mostly in the 1980s and 1990s. White played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers and was named an All-American by all but one of the coaches. 

He played two professional seasons for the Memphis Showboats in the USFL.

Then, he was picked in the first round of the 1984 Supplemental Draft and went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Green Bay Packers, and the Carolina Panthers in the NFL, where he became one of the most decorated defensive players in NFL history.

Reggie White first played professional football in 1984 with the USFL’s Memphis Showboats. It’s too bad that the league ended in 1985.

While White was in the USFL for almost two years, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles. Before going to the Green Bay Packers, he played for them for eight years.

White helped the Packers win the Super Bowl in 1997 and played for them for six years. He played for the Carolina Panthers for a year in 2000 before giving up sports.

White played in the NFL for 15 years and had 312 stops, 198 sacks, 29 pass breakups, 14 forced fumbles, 12 recovered fumbles, and three interceptions. 

He was chosen for the Pro Bowl 13 times and won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice. In 2006, Reggie White was given the honor of being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Sara got back to work after Reggie died. She started working in real estate, which was a job she had always wanted.
