When does The Brave and the Bold come out? DC is entering a new era, and James Gunn wants to bring Batman into it in a new way.
Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters is the first book in the DCU, as it’s now called. We can look forward to Superman: Legacy, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and a Bruce Wayne story that isn’t connected to Matt Reeves’ The Batman. What will it be about? Here is everything we know about The Brave and the Bold.
The Brave and the Bold Release Date
The Brave and the Bold probably won’t come out until at least the summer of 2026. It hasn’t been given a release date and shooting hasn’t begun.
No one has been cast in the movie yet, so don’t think you’ll be able to see it any time soon. Chances are the window will open in 2026, but it’s more likely to be later than that.
It could really come out at any point in the next ten years. We’d guess that it would come out sometime after The Batman 2 to give audiences a break between the two similar new movies.
The Brave and the Bold Cast Rumors
Still, Batman and Robin actors have not been cast for Brave and the Bold. However, we think this Batman won’t be young because he already has a young son in the movie.
We think Damian Wayne will be a pre-teen in this story, so we think Bats will be played by an older, more experienced actor who will be different from the younger Man of Steel. But we have to wait and see what Gunn comes up with. Jensen Ackles or Jake Gyllenhaal might work.
We do know that Andy Muschietti, who directed The Flash, is in charge of it, which is great news. Muschietti did a great job with The Flash, Barry Allen’s first movie by himself (read our review here). We can’t wait to see what he does with The Dark Knight.
What’s the Story of The Brave and the Bold?
Damian Wayne will be in The Brave and the Bold, which is a Batman and Robin story.
Gunn said, “[Robin] is a little assassin that Batman tries to get in line. This is their story, and it’s also the start of the Bat Family in the DCU.” Reports say that the movie is based on Grant Morrison’s work as a comic book writer for DC.
Well done! Damian is one of the more interesting Robins because he has a unique attitude and ties to his mother, Talia Al Ghul. We don’t know what Batman bad guys they’ll be facing off against yet.
Is There a Trailer for The Brave and the Bold?
The Brave and the Bold doesn’t have a video yet and won’t for a few years. However, when James Gunn announced the movie, he gave us a small sneak peek.
The whole Gunn DCU presentation is now live, so you can hear his whole pitch. A release date hasn’t been given yet, so it could be a while before we hear anything else.
How Do I Watch The Brave and the Bold?
When The Brave and the Bold comes out, it will probably first be shown in theaters. It will then be available on video on demand and hard media.
