Blue Beetle brings a new DC superhero to the big screen this summer, and the first trailer is here to whet your appetite. The film is notable for being the first DC film to focus on a Latino superhero, with Cobra Kai’s Xolo Mariduea playing the title character of Jaime Reyes, who gains abilities from an alien artifact.
We can only hope that this will not be the last time we see Blue Beetle and Jaime Reyes, even though this is the second-to-last Worlds of DC film before the new period begins.
No need to jump the gun though, since I have included all the information you require concerning Blue Beetle below.

Blue Beetle Movie Storyline
The first official synopsis for Blue Beetle was released alongside the debut trailer, and like the trailer, it was rather unclear. “Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate with big plans for the future, comes home to find things have changed. Jaime is on a quest to figure out his place in the world when he stumbles upon the Scarab, a relic of extraterrestrial biotechnology “You can read it.
“When the Scarab unexpectedly selects Jaime as its symbiotic host, he is endowed with a fantastic set of armor capable of astonishing and surprising powers, forever altering his destiny as he transforms into the superhero Blue Beetle.” In the comics, Reyes is the third person to don the costume of Blue Beetle, therefore he isn’t the first superhero to do so.
The original Blue Beetle was police officer Dan Garret, who gained superpowers after ingesting Vitamin 2X and first appeared in comics in 1939. A revised version debuted in 1964, making Garrett an archaeologist whose abilities originated from an ancient Egyptian scarab, making him more analogous to the contemporary Blue Beetle.
