God of War Ragnarök: New Game+ Mode Features, Rewards and Challenges

The much-anticipated New Game+ mode for God of War: Ragnarok has been launched by Santa Monica Studio. This update adds new items, enchantments, stronger foes, and other things that will make the game more fun to play. To turn on the mode, players must finish the game once on any level of difficulty.

This lets them take their unlocked skills and tools into a new playthrough. But you have to finish some key story quests before you can use the Sonic and Hex arrows at the beginning of the game.

In the future God of War Ragnarok update, players who start a New Game+ will get new gear and enchantments. The much-requested black bear cloak from the game’s opening scene will be added. It will have numbers for strength and defense, as well as a perk that gives a volley of Bifrost shards to anyone who dodges an attack at the last moment.

The “Armor of the Black Bear” will be given to players at the start of the NG+ game. The “Spartan Armor” is also available. It has no perks or stats and its traits are locked at level 1 to make the game more difficult. Ares’s and Zeus’s armor from God of War 2018 are back. Ares’s armor has a chance to drop a health stone when hit, and Zeus’s armor makes physical and runic damage much worse.

Players can also now buy the Spartan Aspis weapon, which has a smaller window for parrying, and change the color of their Level 9+ armor. Like in other New Game+ modes, Kratos and his enemies will be stronger, and the maximum level has been raised.

Weapons you’ve already earned can now be upgraded to “Plus” versions, which make their powers stronger and give you Gilded Coins that you can use to buy new enchantments from shops inside the game. Enchantments give any set of armor special bonuses that give players an advantage in a fight.

With the new ‘Burdens’ set, players can wear negative perks to make the game more difficult. For example, when Kratos dodge rolls, he automatically gets the Frost status effect, which slows him down.

In the latest update for God of War: Ragnarok, the New Game+ mode gets a lot of new features, like the much-requested black bear cape and Spartan Armor. Players can also buy the Spartan Aspis shield and mix and match different colors for their weapons.

The level cap has been raised, and you can now upgrade guns to their “Plus” versions, which have stronger effects and give you Gilded Coins that you can use to buy new enchantments.

The area for fighting in Niflheim has also been made bigger, and a black-and-white mode has been added. In NG+ mode, you can skip the cutscenes, and Nornir Chests now contain Yggdrasil Dew, which can be used to improve your stats.
