The conclusion of Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers has left fans of the acclaimed anime demanding more action. Upon the conclusion of the second season, the creators revealed that Tokyo Revengers will return for a third season. The creation of the new installment, Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc, is now in progress. A new teaser is also available for fans to get a glimpse of the upcoming season.
The second season of this anime had a number of changes, one of which was the voice actor controversy surrounding Draken. Yet, it did not disappoint, as it consistently ranked among the top 10 anime in MAL’s weekly rankings.
Fans expect the adaptation of the Tenjiku arc to be at least as good, if not better. If you are anticipating the third installment, here is all you need to know about the third season of Tokyo Revengers.
What is Tokyo Revengers Season 3 All About?
A manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui ran from March 2017 to November 2022 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. As of January 2023, the chapters were organized into 31 tankbon novels.
The anime television adaptation was developed by Liden Productions and broadcast from April to September 2021. In January of 2023, the second season of the anime program premiered. In July 2021, a live-action version of the novel will be published, followed by a sequel in 2023.
Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Release Date
The studio has not yet made a formal announcement on the release date. Hence, speculation is possible. The first season premiered in 2021, followed by the second in 2023. Taking into account the gap, the most likely release window is Winter 2024-25 or Summer 2025.
Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Story Speculation
Based on what has been seen thus far from the manga in seasons 1 and 2, we can make some educated guesses about what will happen in season 3.
Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers will adapt the Black Dragon/Christmas Showdown portion of the manga, therefore it seems likely that Tenjiku and possibly even the Final portion of the story will be the emphasis of season 3.
Hence, if the third season of Tokyo Revengers follows the manga, it may be the series’ last. But that’s all conjecture for the time being.
