Tekken 8 Release Date: Trailer, Gameplay And Everything You Need to Know!

Fighting game fans have been eagerly waiting for news about when Tekken 8 will come out since it was announced in an exciting way.

We don’t know much about when the game will come out. Not even rumors or leaks point to a date or time frame. Since this is a live page where new information comes out all the time, we will add official release information as soon as it comes out.

Even so, you shouldn’t let this keep you from being excited about the game. Tekken 7 was a huge success, and Tekken 8’s use of Unreal Engine 5 makes it look like it could be even better. The graphics are really, really good.

The story of Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama will continue in Tekken 8, and you can learn everything you need to know about it below. Find out when it’s coming out if you can pre-order it if there’s a trailer, and which platforms you can play it on by reading on.

When Will Tekken 8 Come Out?

Tekken 8 doesn’t have a release date yet for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In one episode of his show “Harada’s Bar,” Harada said that Street Fighter 6 might be in the “danger zone” if it comes out around the same time as Tekken 8. So, to avoid Street Fighter 6, we think Tekken 8 might come out at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.

Also, the game won’t be available on PS4 or Xbox One. This makes it one of the first fighting games that will only be available on PS4 and Xbox One.

Official Trailer for Tekken 8

The teaser trailer at EVO 2022 gave us our first look at Tekken 8. It was a short teaser that reminded people of the old days by showing clips from the first Tekken game.

Since this is a clip from when the teaser was shown at EVO, you can hear the crowd go crazy when they see Kazuya’s new and improved character model, which is a big step up from his Tekken 7 model.

A little over a month after this Tekken teaser, we got a full trailer for the next Tekken game, which confirmed that it would be the next big game in the series.

This trailer shows real-time footage at 60 frames per second, which means it wasn’t made ahead of time like many game trailers. The final version, on the other hand, could change.

We got to see the father and son rivals fight, and some of the game rules were very familiar. In the trailer, we saw electric attacks and fights that ended in slow motion.

As for the story, Tekken 8 released a teaser trailer on December 9, 2022, which showed the story of the game along with some flashy gameplay animations and combos.

Who’s In Tekken 8 Cast?

In the first Tekken 8 trailer, Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima were shown. This made them the first two characters to be shown. And while Devil Jin is a separate character from regular Jin in Tekken 7, there’s no reason to think that will be the case in Tekken 8 yet.

Tekken 8 release date

So far, Paul Phoenix, Nina Williams, Martial Law, Jun Kazama, Jack-8, King, and Lars have worked with the Mishima brothers.

Tekken 8 Plot And Gameplay Details

Tekken 8 continues where Tekken 7 left off, keeping Tekken’s record as the game series with the longest-running story. The PlayStation Blog says, “This new entry will focus on the fight between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, who are father and son.”

Aside from that and what was shown in the reveal trailer (see below), not much else is known about Tekken 8’s story. We’ll have to wait until the game comes out to find out when we can play through the story mode.

What we’ve seen of Tekken 8 looks great because of Unreal Engine 5, even though it wasn’t a real fight but rather real-time rendered footage. You can expect the game to look at least a little like the video below. The models of the characters, the effects of the weather, and the incredibly detailed backgrounds are all how they should look in a game.
