In Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, the seventh movie in the series, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is back to save the world again. Mission: Impossible movies have been around since 1996. They are known for Tom Cruise and the amazing stunts he does in them, like hanging from a wire, climbing the Burj Khalifa, doing a HALO skydive, and holding on to the outside of a plane as it takes off.
Even though Tom Cruise is getting close to 60, the Mission: Impossible movies keep getting better. The last movie in the series, Mission: Impossible — Fallout, has the highest score on Rotten Tomatoes (97% “Fresh”) and made the most money at the box office ($791 million worldwide) of any of the other movies in the series.
So how will Cruise up the stakes in this new action film starring him? Here is everything we know about Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One.
Release Date of Mission: Impossible 7
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is just one of the big studio movies that have been pushed back more than once over the past few years because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the problems that followed it.
But as of now, Deadline says that the movie will come out on July 14, 2023. This means that Ethan Hunt will go on his next mission around the same time as Fast X, The Marvels, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Oppenheimer, and a lot of other big-name projects.
Plot: What is Mission: Impossible 7 All About?
Dead Reckoning’s narrative is largely unknown at this point. We do know that it follows the events of the critically acclaimed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015) and the equally well-appreciated Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018). Mission: Impossible has improved with age, in contrast to most other legendary Hollywood franchises, which have grown bloated and less intriguing with each sequel.
Hunt, along with the rest of the series’ protagonists, will be given a more nuanced emotional path than in previous installments, as director Christopher McQuarrie has stated in interviews. The teaser and production reports for Mission: Impossible 7 also reveal that scenes were shot in various locations all over the world, including Italy, England, Norway, and the Middle East.
Cast: Who Will Come Back in Mission: Impossible 7
Tom Cruise will produce and star in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. He will also play Ethan Hunt again, a role he has played for a long time. And just like the other six movies in the series, Cruise will be joined on screen by some very talented people. Rebecca Ferguson will play former MI6 agent Ilsa Faust again, Ving Rhames will play Hunt’s best friend and most trusted ally Luther Stickell, and Simon Pegg will play IMF tech agent Benji Dunn.
Other actors from previous Mission: Impossible movies who will be back for Dead Reckoning Part One include Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsoplis, also known as the White Widow, and Henry Czerny, who will play former IMF director Eugene Kittridge for the first time since the first movie in the series in 1996.
There will also be a lot of new people in the cast of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Hayley Atwell, who plays a mysterious character named Grace, will stand out. Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, and a number of other franchise newcomers are also joining the cast.
Trailer for Mission: Impossible 7
Here is the first trailer for Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning, Part One. After a leak on May 21, Paramount has released the official teaser trailer for the next movie in Tom Cruise’s spy series, which everyone is looking forward to.
Eugene Kittridge, played by Henry Czerny, is the only person who speaks in the trailer. He talks to Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, about choosing between his past fights for good and a new world order. But the rest of the movie is just a highlight reel of some of the action from all over the world, a new MacGuffin, and some amazing stunts. Have fun here:
Even though it wasn’t a trailer, footage from the 2022 CinemaCon has been posted online. It shows Tom Cruise standing on a biplane in front of a beautiful background. What won’t this guy do for a stunt that looks cool?
During the opening week of Avatar: The Way of Water, movie fans can get a sneak peek at Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One. A behind-the-scenes look at the Mission: Impossible movie will play before IMAX showings of Avatar.
Who Directs the Mission: Impossible 7 Movie?
The first four Mission: Impossible movies were all directed by different people, including Brian De Palma, John Woo, JJ Abrams, and Brad Bird. But since Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation, Christopher McQuarrie has been in charge of the series. He is back in charge of Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One as well (and Mission: Impossible 8).
McQuarrie is best known for being the director of the Mission: Impossible movies, but he also worked with Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012). McQuarrie was best known as a writer before he became a director. He wrote The Usual Suspects and other Tom Cruise movies like Valkyrie, Jack Reacher, and Edge of Tomorrow. All of the Mission: Impossible movies that McQuarrie has directed have also been written by him.
