Leon Fou Bartfort, ENGI’s strange but entertaining gangster character, has caught the attention of many viewers. Trapped In A Dating Sim is a type of Isekai with a plot that isn’t seen very often. The title doesn’t sound very interesting, but the story is.
The show is based on the same-named light novel by Yomu Mishima and was made in 2017. When Micro Magazine and Jun Shiosato saw that the web series got a lot of good reviews, they decided to turn it into a manga.

Even though ENGI hasn’t given a specific date, they said on December 26, 2022, that a second season is already being made. Shin’ichi Fukumoto and Kazuya Miura were in charge of making it. The show will be shown on Tokyo MX, AT-X, Crunchyroll, and ytv, among others. Based on when the news came out, the show is likely to start in April or May 2023.
Plot of Trapped In A Dating Sim Season 2
Marie comes up with a plan in the last episode of Trapped In A Dating Sim to become the main character of the show. She wants to get rid of Leon and get what she’s always wanted since she woke up in the game. Marie also seems to have one of the Heavenly objects that the Protagonist needs to use her true powers. Even though these things belong to Olivia, Marie might try to take the other one.
Recap: What Happened in Trapped In A Dating Sim Season 1?
The first episode of the first season is about a regular white-collar worker who plays an otome game for his sister. She asks him to do it for her, and even though her demands are annoying, he agrees. As soon as he starts the game, he hates the main character and the plot, which is called a “reverse harem” and shows that women are in charge in this world.
He is able to finish the game with all of the achievements. He hits his head when he gets up and passes out. When he wakes up, he is a young boy named Leon Fou Bartfort.
His father is a poor baron, and his stepmother is a rude, bossy woman who treats his father like trash. Leon doesn’t know where he is at first, but when he sees the world around him, he remembers playing the game. He then realizes that he has been reborn into the world of the otome game he just finished.
Over the course of 10 years, Leon is able to fight back against his cruel stepmother. He does this by using what he already knows to get Luxion, an AI ship/robot that helps him. Leon then goes to The Academy, a place where men go to study and find women who might want to marry them.
Once Leon gets to the Academy, he sees the game’s love interests, but instead of Olivia, the main character, they are protecting a different girl. The same story as the game goes on, but the new girl, Marie, takes Olivia’s place. Leon wants to be a member of the mob and live in this world. He ends up in the middle of whatever is going on, which is very annoying to him.

He gets closer to Olivia and Angelica as the first season goes on (Rival of Olivia in the Original Game). He is able to change the story of the game because of how sick and twisted he is.
