Pegram, Tennessee was the location where Ryan Upchurch’s birth took place on May 24th, 1991.

For the purpose of providing entertainment for himself and his friends, Upchurch conceived of the comedic persona of Upchurch the Redneck, who satirized common perceptions of young men living in the Deep South.

In 2014, Upchurch began collaborating with his friends to produce videos in which he represented the role of Upchurch the Redneck and displayed his abilities as a rapper. These videos were uploaded on YouTube.

Upchurch and his friend Shade Glover came up with the character of Upchurch the Redneck and started uploading films to YouTube under that name. In 2015, he published an extended play titled Cheatham County, and the following year, in 2016, he released a full-length album titled ‘Heart of America.’

In August of 2016, the second studio album titled “Chicken Willie” was made available for purchase. With 2,800 copies sold in the first week, it debuted at position No. 22 on the Top Country Albums list on Billboard and at position No. 11 on the Rap Albums chart.

Both a new extended play (EP) titled “Summer Love” in 2017 and a new studio album titled “Son of the South” in 2018 was released by Upchurch. “Summer Love” is an entirely country-oriented EP and has no rap music components whatsoever. In its first week of release, ‘Summer Love’ sold 3,700 copies and debuted at position No. 33 on the Top Country Albums list.

The fifth studio album from Upchurch, titled “King of Dixie,” was released on November 10, 2017, and it consists of a total of 19 tracks. The first rock album by Upchurch, titled Creeker, was released on April 20. The album primarily included rock music with only a few rap-influenced tracks.

In April, he released his debut album 2019, which was titled “Creeker 2.” Creeker 2 included a total of 9 tracks, some of which were titled “Gassed Up” and “Hillbilly Psycho,” respectively.
