Recently, Prime Video published the trailer for the upcoming season of The Test. This season will center on Australia’s participation in the ICC Men’s World Test Championship 2023 and their Ashes campaign that same year, according to the ICC’s official website.
In England, Australia met India in the 2023 World Test Championship final. The match was played from June 7th to June 11th, 2023, culminating in their successful outcome. They captured this esteemed trophy for the first time in their annals by triumphing over India by 209 runs.
A few days later, in the 2023 Ashes series, they were tied 2-2 with England. Having won the 2021–22 Ashes tournament, they were granted the historic urn in their possession. Prime Video will offer Season 3 of The Test to stream on May 24, 2024. ScreenHub Australia lists Sheldon Wynne and Adrian Brown as the film’s directors.
The Third Season of The Test will be Available on Amazon Prime Video
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the first two seasons of The Test reflected the Australian cricket team’s recovery from the 2018 ball-tampering controversy. According to reports, during a 2018 test match against South Africa, cameras spotted Cameron Bancroft roughening one side of the cricket ball to his team’s benefit.

Later, Cricket Australia discovered that captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner were involved in this misbehavior. All three cricketers faced serious repercussions, and it appeared that the squad would not recover from such a devastating blow.
Unsurprisingly, they recovered swiftly and went on to have remarkable success in the years that followed. In the final of the ICC Men’s World Test Championship 2023, Australia batted first and scored 469 runs. India’s first innings finished with an unimpressive 296 runs.

In the second innings, Australia scored 270 for the loss of eight wickets, setting their opponent a huge 444-run mark. India could only score 234, allowing Australia to win the match and collect the championship trophy. In the 2023 Ashes series, they tied with England but kept the Ashes urn.

The Test, similar to the previous two seasons, will be exclusively and live-streamed on Prime Video. The streaming platform will be accessible to all subscribers for AU$9.99 per month, which includes access to the series.
The number of episodes comprising The Test has not been disclosed as of yet. The current season contains only four episodes, compared to eight in the original season.
