Dougal Wilson helms the upcoming live-action animation adventure comedy film Paddington in Peru and features a narrative written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamout, with additional contributions from Paul King, Simon Farnaby, and Burton. It is planned to be the third feature in the Paddington film series and a follow-up to Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017). It is based on the adventures of Paddington Bear, which Michael Bond conceived.
Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, and Carla Tous have supporting parts in the movie, which stars Ben Whishaw as Paddington’s voice actor.
In February 2021, the movie’s development got underway, and in June 2022, the Peruvian title Paddington was revealed. It’s Wilson’s first feature picture role. Principal photography, which took place in Peru, Colombia, and the United Kingdom, started in July 2023 and ended in October of the same year.
When Can We Expect Paddington in Peru to Release?
As previously stated, it is now official: Paddington in Peru will be released in theaters in the United Kingdom on November 8, 2024, and in the United States on January 17, 2025.

Rachel Zegler was unable to commence production of the film in the United Kingdom in July 2023 as a result of the SAG-AFTRA strike; she has since been replaced in the film (more on that below).
What Can We Expect From Paddington 3?
In contrast to the first two installments, which centered on Paddington in his new home of London, the third film depicts him visiting his aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears in deepest, darkest Peru, thus returning to his origins.
In accordance with the synopsis, “A thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and to the mountain peaks of Peru.”
Although additional plot details have not yet been disclosed, it is safe to assume that he will face off against another cunning antagonist in the style of Millicent Clyde (Nicole Kidman) or Phoenix Buchanan (Hugo Grant).
Who will Comprise the Cast of Paddington 3?
Benjamin Whishaw will reprise his impeccable portrayal of Paddington, while Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, and Jim Broadbent all reprise their respective roles as antique shop proprietors Mr. Gruber, Brown, and Mrs. Bird, respectively.

Emily Mortimer will replace Sally Hawkins in the character of Mrs. Brown; however, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin will reprise their roles as Judy and Jonathan Brown, respectively.
Regarding the introductions, Olivia Colman portrays The Reverend Mother, and Antonio Banderas is cast as Hunter Cabot, who sounds suspiciously similar to the antagonist of the film. Rachel Zegler was originally slated to portray the role of Gina Cabot, but is now filled by the unprofessor Carla Tous.
