Pretty Little Liars Season 2 Release Date – All Details About Its Cast and Plot!

The release date for Pretty Little Liars Season 2, which will see the return of the suspenseful teen drama, has finally been revealed by Max. The first two episodes of the upcoming season, Summer School, are set to debut on Thursday, May 9. Through June 20, one new episode will be released every week after that.

The logline for Season 2 says, “Our Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death – summer school, following the harrowing events of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.” But there are other obstacles standing in the way of their exciting summer jobs and brand-new, idealistic love interests than Millwood High. They are all going to be put to the test by a new villain who has arrived in town and may or may not be connected to A.

In Season 2 of Pretty Little Liars, Who is Involved?

Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas feature in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, which is based on Sara Shepard’s best-selling book series.

What Will Happen in the New Season?

A time leap is alluded to in the name change announcement accompanied by an endearingly gruesome image of one of the Beasley twins choking on a cheerleading megaphone.

As of our last departure, the group was deeply engrossed in Christmas festivities. The title rejig indicates that we will reunite with them in the summer, which could represent a minimum six-month gap.

Aside from that, the finale provides little else to discern. As previously stated, the conclusion of season one left minimal room for interpretation, as the majority of plot points were satisfactorily resolved and prepared for the Liars to progress with their lives.

However, again… Millwood being Millwood, one cannot predict what might occur around the corner. Archie, the mute murderer (not to be confused with Archie from Riverdale), escaped from the hospital and is currently at large; however, his father Principal Clanton is not present to guide him in the right direction of murder.

Archie, on the other hand, is something of a tragic figure, having been forced into hiding at a young age because he “had a face only a mother could love” (seriously, what is it with the parents in this town?!).

He was extremely protective of his sister Angela, who committed suicide as an adolescent after being raped by the now-sheriff Beasley. An even more vehement consequence was that Beasley was expelled from her group of friends (the mothers) because they refused to believe that Beasley, who was dating Madison’s mother at the time, was guilty of rape.

Archie appears to have decided in the final moments of the first season to use his killer instinct to pursue rapist men in the town, as he attacks and stabs Sheriff Beasley to death in his hospital bed before making a beeline to Chip’s house, where he has posted bail for the Christmas holiday while awaiting trial for the rapes of Madison and Tabby.

Could Archie, now that he is no longer subject to his cruel and vengeful father’s influence, truly assume the role of a vigilante and protector for the girls?

It appears that while season one focused primarily on the mothers, season two could have extensively explored the fathers of the daughters. However, they are certainly not benign individuals. Kelly must now adjust to life without her domineering father, the Sheriff, in his absence.

In the interim, Mouse will probably embark on a quest to locate her biological father. Corey’s decision to subject her daughter to unnecessary surgery will hurt Faran’s father, and the remaining fathers of the Liars are, at best, absentee fathers. However, should they choose to publish their work in an anthology, all of this becomes moot, and who knows where they will end up next?
