On April 19, Peacock will expand its collection of animated films by incorporating Illumination’s Migration, which was released earlier this year on digital and Blu-ray platforms. The voyage of the Mallard family as they travel to a new location is chronicled in Migration. Pam Mallard wants her kids to learn about the other things that the world has to offer. But Mack Mallard, the nervous one, is unwilling to leave their familiar house.
“After a family of migrating ducks lands in their pond and begins telling exciting stories about exotic locations, Pam convinces Mack to take the family on a journey to tropical Jamaica via New York City. The Mallards’ carefully thought out preparations swiftly go awry as they head south for the winter. According to the summary, “the experience will teach them more about each other and themselves than they ever imagined while inspiring them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends, and accomplish more than they ever thought possible.”

After making its theatrical debut on December 6, 2023, the animated film has brought in over $250 million, adding to Illumination’s impressive portfolio of successful box office animated films. Positive reviews were also given to the movie, with some critics referring to it as “a hilarious family adventure.” On Rotten Tomatoes, Migration currently has an amazing 88% audience score and a 73% critic grade.
