Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which is only available on PS5, is “a fitting way to follow Remake,” and it’s almost here.
With Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, an old JRPG is being brought up to date. Square Enix gave us even more to look forward to at the PlayStation State of Play in September 2023. They showed off new gameplay, a collector’s version, and other things.
The second book in what will be a series is set to come out in February 2024 and already looks great. There are already plans for a third movie, which will be even bigger than the first two.
Cloud and the gang are going on another adventure, and we’re going to see places like the Gold Saucer, meet new and old friends, and play a lot of mini-games.
It’s still unclear how closely it sticks to the story of the original and where it will take us, but there’s already a lot of talk about it. Every time we get a better look, we find something new to like.
FF7R is looking like it will be one of the most-anticipated PS5 games of the year, especially since one of the new games for 2024 is coming out soon. We’ll tell you everything we know about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth so far, including when it comes out, what it’s like to play, how it looks, and more.
When Will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Come Out?
The release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been set for February 29, 2024. The news was revealed at PlayStation’s September 2023 State of Play event, where the launch date and a brand-new look at the game were also announced. The new look confirmed that Vincent, the Golden Saucer, and all of its fun minigames would be returning.
Collector’s Version Of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth
Along with a deluxe version hard copy, the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth collector’s edition has been shown off. There was an announcement about the collector’s version at the same time that the game came out.
The two-disc epic and all of its extras will cost an unbelievable US$350. The FF7R collector’s edition comes with DLC, in-game items, and a huge 19-inch figure of Sephiroth to put in your living room.
It also comes with the steel book from the deluxe version. It’s pricey, but for FF7 fans who really want it, it sounds like a great deal. You may also like to know about GTA 6: The 6 Features That Will Make It the Best Grand Theft Auto Ever
Platforms For Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
PS5 is the only platform where Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is officially set to come out. Final Fantasy 7 Remake came out on PS4, but Square Enix isn’t putting any work into Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth because they want to focus on the new generation of consoles.
Square Enix hasn’t said for sure if Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released on PC, but since Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is already on Steam, it’s likely that Rebirth will come out at some point.
When Will The Remake Of Final Fantasy 7 Come Out For Xbox?
There is still no answer to the question of whether or not Final Fantasy 7 Remake will come to Xbox. However, there is still some hope. At the moment, only PlayStation consoles can play Final Fantasy 7 Remake and its follow-up, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
But now that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is finally out on PC, the chances of it coming out on Xbox Series X have gone up. Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, a Remaster of the FF7 prequel in the style of Remake, is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X later this year, which adds to the rumors. This could mean that Square Enix is preparing for a future release of Remake Intergrade on Microsoft platforms.
How To Play Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
A lot of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth gameplay has been shown to us since the game was first announced. We saw Cloud and his friends go through more open areas and play mini-games at the Gold Saucer, which you may remember is a key spot in the original game.
This was shown to us at Summer Game Fest 2023 and again at the State of Play showcase in September 2023. Cloud rode a Chocobo, raced, and even went around on a segue in the most recent gameplay video.
Given that Square Enix has promised “nearly 100 hours of adventure” in Rebirth, it’s clear that the second part of Final Fantasy 7 will be more intense.
A newer sample of FF7R shows us about halfway through the first chapter. “What I enjoy most about my time in Kalm, though, is the way it introduces me to one of the new features of Rebirth – and it’s one that gets right to the heart of what makes me so excited for the follow-up,” Senior Writer Heather Wald writes.
“Just as Remake lets us see new sides to its iconic cast of characters by letting us spend more time with them between the action, Rebirth is putting a greater focus on party bonds in every respect, from the combat to the story.”
