In Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online, there are many types of weapons, just like there are many types of cars. Rifles are probably the most famous type of weapon. This type of gun is known for being able to fire fairly quickly and doing a lot of damage. They are further split into Sniper Rifles and Assault Rifles, both of which are very useful for missions and PvP (Player vs. Player) situations.

1) Heavy Sniper MK II

The Heavy Sniper MK II came out in 2017, but after the San Andreas Mercenaries update, it is still one of the best guns in GTA Online. To get it, you must first buy the Heavy Sniper for $38,150 and then pay an extra $165,375 at the MOC or Avenger’s workshop to change it into the MK II version.

Like all Sniper Rifles, the Heavy Sniper MK II gives its user a range edge. With its standard ammo, it only takes a few shots to kill NPCs or other players. Even though it can also be fitted with Explosive Rounds, its best features are the Thermal and Night Vision Scopes.

2) Service Carbine

The Service Carbine is based on the actual military weapons M16 A1 and M16 A2. It came out in August 2022 and can kill GTA Online players in 10 shots and non-player characters in two. The Service Carbine also has a good rate of fire, which is another of its game advantages.

You can get this gun by finishing the random event “Crime Scene,” or you can buy it from Ammu-Nation for $370,000. Grand Theft Auto has had guns like this before, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if it showed up in Grand Theft Auto 6.

3) Bullpup MK II Rifle

The Bullpup weapon MK II in GTA Online was made to look like the Kel-Tec RFB and the FAMAS weapon. It was also added to the game in 2017. Its standard version needs to be updated for an extra $105,750 at the MOC or Avenger’s weapons workshop, just like the Heavy Sniper MK II.

Even though it takes 11 shots to kill a player with the Bullpup MK II, which is one more than with the Service Carbine, it fires a little faster. It can be made even better by adding Incendiary, Armor-Piercing, or Full Metal Jacket Rounds, which all cost between $50,000 and $90,000.

4) Marksman MK II Rifle

The Marksman Rifle is one of the best guns in the game that doesn’t get enough attention. It’s free with GTA 5 Premium Edition, but you can buy it from Ammu-Nation for $15,750 if you don’t have that version.

For an extra $149,000, you can turn it into the Marksman Rifle MK II at the MOC or Avenger’s arms workshop, which is a bit better.

Putting scopes on it helps its range and makes it easy to kill enemies with just a few shots. Even though this gun doesn’t fire very fast, it does a lot of damage, which makes it very useful.

5) Military Rifle

With the Cayo Perico Heist update in December 2020, the Military Rifle was added to GTA Online. Even though it has been out for almost three years, this gun is still a good choice. It can take about nine shots to kill a person and up to five shots to kill an enemy. It also fires pretty fast, which is a good mix of speed and damage.

Even after the San Andreas Mercenaries update, there is still no MK II version of the Military Rifle. But the normal rifle costs $397,500 at Ammu-Nation stores, which is a lot of money. This weapon doesn’t have any really great upgrades, which is a shame.
