5 Liberty City mods for GTA 5: Fans have been having fun with Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 since it came out almost ten years ago. Still, many people now want to try something new. Since it doesn’t look like the sequel is coming any time soon, players can try using mods for a change of pace. Some of these affect things like cars, while others can make the area bigger.
Members of this game’s very talented community make mods, so most of them are very detailed and of a very high standard. So, let’s look at five Liberty City mods for GTA 5 that every player should try at least once.
Players must try Liberty City V Remix and four other Liberty City mods for GTA 5.
1) Liberty City V (Rewind)
The Liberty City V (Rewind) mod, made by Carl Johnson (YHWHDios), adds the whole map of Grand Theft Auto 4 to GTA 5. After the installation is done, Liberty City will appear in some way from Los Santos.
It is one of the best mods for this game, and it lets players go to Rockstar Games’ version of New York whenever they want. All of the houses, roads, and other assets are detailed and fit in well.
Even though some parts of the Liberty City map might be flooded, most of it can be visited without any trouble.
2) Liberty City V Remix
The Liberty City V Remix hack works the same as Liberty City V (Rewind), and it adds the map of Liberty City V (Rewind) to Grand Theft Auto 5. Still, this mod has been updated many times, which has made it better overall.
Some collisions that didn’t happen in the original version were fixed, the textures of pink trees were changed to orange to fit the style of Grand Theft Auto 4, and the reflections on the roads were also changed in one of the most recent changes.
3) Liberty City Vehicle & Ped Pack
The Liberty City Vehicle & Ped Pack mod for GTA 5 was made by Monkeypolice188 and others. It adds utility cars from Grand Theft Auto 4 to the current game. The cars in this mod pack are all very small.
With a mod system, players can make these rides appear. The collection was small when it first came out, but it has grown a lot over the years. The last update came out in March 2022.
4) Real 1980s Ads for Times Square/Star Junction
Times Square is always full of people and is one of the most famous tourist spots in New York. The name of Rockstar’s version of this business intersection in Liberty City is “Star Junction,” and it feels a lot like the one in real life.
Still, there are no real names in Grand Theft Auto games. Installing Jjent1’s Real 1980s Ads for the Times Square/Star Junction mod will change this. It works with the Liberty City V (Rewind) mod and changes the brand ads at Star Junction from the game to ones from the 1980s.
One of the modified ads is for Miami Vice, a popular show from the 1980s that inspired GTA Vice City. There are rumors that Grand Theft Auto 6 will take place in Vice City.
5) 1990s Times Square/Star Junction
The 1990s Times Square/Star Junction mod was also made by Jjent1, and it is basically the same mod but set in the 1990s. It takes out the ads from the 1980s and puts up ones from the 1990s, like a sign for the PlayStation 1.
It also works with the Liberty City V (Rewind) mod and can give players a good idea of how the concrete jungle in Grand Theft Auto must have felt in the 1990s.
