Steve was the most gifted individual I’ve ever met; he was a master of several artistic disciplines. In death, as in life, he was universally adored by those whose creative paths he intersected. My deepest appreciation goes out to everyone at the NHS who dedicated themselves to helping Steve. He will be sorely missed.

She said,
“We are stunned and devastated to have bid goodbye to my bright, lovely husband Steve Mackey after three months in the hospital, fighting with all his power and determination.
Several people, including myself, his son Marley, his parents Kath and Paul, his sister Michelle, and many more, are still inconsolable over Steve’s death, which occurred on March 2.
When it came to talent, Steve was far and away the best person I’d ever encountered. He was a brilliant artist in many different mediums. He was a master of many art forms, and “as in life, he was adored by everyone whose paths he crossed.”
