Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, an emotional Christmas movie for the whole family, came out on November 23, 2022, and was only available on Netflix. Debbie Isitt has written and directed the holiday special. Nick Jones was the producer for Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, and Hannah Perks was the movie’s executive producer.

Debbie Isitt wrote and directed the new Christmas movie, and Sean Van Hales was in charge of the camera work. Christmas on Mistletoe Farm also has music by Nicky Ager and was shot by Sean Van Hales. The movie’s official description on Netflix says:

The movie tells the story of Matt Cunningham, a single father who recently lost his wife. He has five children: Rosie, Lily, Charlie, Buster, and Violet. In it, Matt goes to Cobbledon, a small town in the country, to stay at the farm his father left for him. As soon as the Cunninghams move to the Mistletoe Farm, a new and exciting adventure begins.

Promising acting performances by the lead cast

The lead role of Matt Cunningham, played by Scott Garnham, is front and center in the film Christmas on Mistletoe Farm. He did a fantastic job of really getting inside the character and expressing all the right feelings on screen.

His protagonist has trouble striking a balance between his personal life and his career. The actor portrays it accurately on screen. It’s heartbreaking to see how much Matt has to juggle as a single parent trying to raise five kids and keep his office job afloat.

Beano, the farmhand, is a major player as well. Scott Paige portrays the part in the show. Her acting in the film is undeniably a high point of A Christmas Carol: Mistletoe Farm. The guy he plays is hilarious and engaging.

Scott Paige’s endearing performance keeps the audience engaged from the opening credits to the closing credits. Impressive scenes include when Beano and the villagers chase away the developers who come to buy out Matt’s farm, and when he goes to the city to fix his mistakes that cause Matt to lose his job. Consequently, Scott Paige has excelled in his film role.

Actors Kathryn Drysdale, Delilah O’Riordan, Madison Davis, Evan Scott, Dexter Sol Ansell, Faith Delaney, Ashley Jensen, and others round out the cast. They’ve all done their part to make the film a success.

A lighthearted family movie perfect for the Holiday Season

Debbie Isitt has done a fantastic job imbuing the film with a joyous, warm atmosphere. There’s no denying that Christmas on Mistletoe Farm is bursting at the seams with holiday cheer and that it captures the essence of the season beautifully.

The father-child relationship is also given extensive exploration in the film. Having a mother absent from the home can make a father’s job much more challenging. The importance of learning from real-life experiences and the value of community are also highlighted.

The stunning cinematography in Netflix’s newest holiday film is what I find most appealing. The enchanting beauty of the countryside has been beautifully captured by the film’s cinematographer, Sean Van Hales.

The film’s stunning backdrop, which was filmed on vibrantly green farms in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, is a huge highlight and elevates the proceedings.

It’s absolutely breathtaking to see how the cinematographer captured scenes like the one where kids are riding bikes down a rural road or the one where animals are let loose after Matt forgets to close the farm gate. Thus, the film has unquestionably been improved by cinematography.
