The main vocalist and founding member of Firehouse, C.J. Snare, has passed away. At the time, he was 64. On Sunday, April 7, the band issued a statement regarding Snare’s demise, which was published on the official Firehouse Facebook page.
“Today is a sorrowful day for rock and roll,” began the missive. “We regret to inform the world that our brother, rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist, and founding member of Firehouse CJ Snare, has passed away.”
The singer “passed unexpectedly” at his residence on Friday night (April 5), according to the statement. Snare had anticipated that he would resume touring this summer after recovering from abdominal surgery scheduled for the autumn.
