The Outdoor Activities Club is back on their adventures, camping in Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures after the group camping at Izu Peninsula in the third season of the Japanese animated television series Laid-Back Camp, which is based on the manga series of the same name by Afro. This time, Ayano Toki, Nadeshiko Kagamihara’s childhood friend, is joining them.
The season, directed by Shin Tosaka from a series composed by Masafumi Sugiura, is animated by Eight Bit. October 2022 saw the confirmation that a third season was in the process of being produced.

She encounters Nadeshiko, with whom she forms an instantaneous friendship. Motivated by the latter, Rin decides to join their school’s Outdoor Activities Circle. The series chronicles the ladies and their companions’ camping excursions to some of Japan’s most breathtaking locales.
According to the official synopsis of Laid-Back Camp: “High school student Nadeshiko, who recently relocated from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to visit Mount Fuji, which is depicted on the renowned 1000 yen bill. Despite completing the entire journey by bicycle to Motosu, she is compelled to return due to the deteriorating weather conditions. Her inability to fix her gaze on the objective causes her to pass out in the middle of her journey there. Upon awakening, it is nighttime in an unfamiliar location, and she is unable to determine how to return home. Nadeshiko is rescued through the encounter of Rin, a solitary girl who is camping outdoors. “This story about outdoorsy girls begins with Nadeshiko and Rin’s first encounter.”
