The Duchess of Belgium is determined to collect sticks from her hometown. Princess Elisabeth is poised for a momentous year ahead, as her relocation to the United States has been formally confirmed.
A two-year master’s program will be pursued by the 22-year-old Belgian princess at the exceedingly prestigious Harvard University in Boston. The Belgian Royal Palace officially affirmed the momentous information on Tuesday.
While studying politics across the Atlantic, Elisabeth will be away. She is concluding her undergraduate studies in history and politics concurrently at Lincoln College, which is affiliated with the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Not only Elizabeth, but no other royal, has elected to attend Harvard. Queen Frederik of Denmark, who spent a year studying in that country, and Empress Masako of Japan, who earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, both accompanied her.

Prior to continuing her studies, the future queen earned a two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma from UWC Atlantic College in May 2020, followed by a year of military training.
Elisabeth has spent the past two years attending the Royal Military Academy’s yearly three-week summer camps. She took the officers’ oath last year and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Elisabeth is the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and she is now the successor to the Belgian throne.
The princess has three younger siblings: Prince Gabriel (20), Prince Emmanuel (18), and Princess Eleonore (16). Eleonore was caught last month looking at her official birthday portrait, which featured her elder sister.
The young princess exuded elegance when she was photographed at the Belgian royal family’s home, Laeken, in Brussels. Her birthday outfit included a lovely white top and blue flared trousers from Zara, which she paired with black loafers. Elenore added some regal glamor to her costume by wearing gold jewelry and styling her long blonde hair in gorgeous gentle waves.
