W: Two Worlds Apart Ending Explained – All That Happened in the Series!

The 2016 K-drama W: Two Worlds Apart features Lee Jong-Suk and Han Hyo-Joo in leading roles. It follows the romantic life of a surgical resident and the protagonist of a webcomic.

As stated by Netflix, the official synopsis entails “a surgical resident becomes entangled in a murder mystery involving the protagonist of the story after becoming entangled in the webtoon universe created by her father.” Jong-Suk portrays the webtoon world’s protagonist, Kang Chul, while Hyo-Joo portrays Oh Yeon-Joo, the progeny of the webtoon’s creator, Oh Sung-Moo (Kim Eui-Sung).

Kang Chul and Yeon-Joo reunited in the world of the webcomic W in the previous episode. Given the potential for a tragic conclusion, Kang Chul presented her with the option between him and her father. When she selected Sung-Moo, Kang Chul would make every effort to transport the two individuals to reality.

However, should she opt for him, they would presumably be confined to the W webtoon, which depicts Kang Chul serving his sentence in prison. Episode 16 of W: Two Worlds Apart commences with Yeon-Joo selecting both of her male companions. Despite significant setbacks, the K-drama concludes on a positive note.
