In the South Korean television series My Happy Ending, Jang Na-ra, Son Ho-jun, So Yi-Hyun, Lee Ki-taek, Kim Hong-pa, and Park Ho-san all hold prominent roles. From December 30, 2023, to February 25, 2024, it was broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 (KST) on TV Chosun. Additionally, it can be viewed on TVN in particular Southeast Asian nations, accessed via streaming services on Wavve and Netflix in South Korea, and Viki and Viu in specific geographical areas.
The My Happy Ending episode 16 (Finale) debuted on TV Chosun on Sunday, February 26, 2024. The last episode ended dramatically when Heo Ah-Rin (Choi So-Yool), the daughter of Seo Jae-Won (Jang Na-Ra), was kidnapped by Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun). The viewer witnesses Heo Ah-Rin’s safety and well-being in the climax episode. Jae-Won meets her daughter at home shortly after.
My Happy Ending Finale Ending Explained
Seo Jae-Won (Jang Na-Ra) gets the news that Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun) has abducted her daughter Heo Ah-Rin (Choi So-Yool) in the premiere episode of My Happy Ending. She contacts Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) promptly to inform him. Jae-Won then begins a desperate search for her daughter. Te-Oh notifies the police, and Detective Oh Soo-Jin (Kim Soo-Jin) initiates the investigation as well.

Meanwhile, during the season finale of My Happy Ending, Kwon Yoon-Jin purchases gifts for Ah-Rin and treats her to ice cream. She queries Ah-Rin whom she most sadly missed during her time in the United States. Upon confessing to Yoon-Jin that she most greatly laments her father, the young girl is overcome with guilt.
She subsequently resolves to spare Ah-Rin any harm. She discharges her and escorts her to her place of residence. Subsequently, Yoon-Jin contacts Jae-Won, who is in search of her daughter. Yoon-Jin informs Jae-Won during the call that she will locate her daughter at home.
Soon, Yoon-jin is observed traversing the congested road while preoccupied with numerous thoughts. She is abruptly struck by a vehicle as she crosses the street. It appears that she was killed in the collision. The episode then transports the audience to a year later. In-person, Jae-Won visits psychiatrist Jo Su-Gyeong. She has been communicating with her while hallucinating her the entire time. However, she has begun to attend her as if she were her physician.

In the season one finale of My Happy Ending, Seo Jae-Won subsequently proposes to her father that they move in together. In addition to taking a leave of absence, she suspended her work duties upon resigning as CEO. She requested that Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) assume her office responsibilities. More time is spent by Jae-Won with her daughter Ah-Rin. She begins working at the office as an independent designer shortly thereafter. Yoon Te-Oh nominates her to serve as the design group’s leader. It appears that she has begun to appreciate her labor once more.
In the final segment of episode 16 (Finale) of My Happy Ending, Yoon Te-Oh discloses his romantic affection towards Jae-Won. He is informed by Jae-Won that he must endure a lengthy wait. Yoon Te-Oh becomes ecstatic and becomes willing to wait for her.
Jae-Won is observed enjoying herself at the seaside with her father and daughter Ah-Rin after the episode. She has realized that life is a journey filled with joyful and sad moments, with no happy ending. Nonetheless, she has attained the maturity to acknowledge and reconcile with existence.
