Ark 2, an exciting new survival game from Studio Wildcard, will be out this year, but the maker hasn’t given us a specific release date yet. It’s the long-awaited follow-up to one of the best survival games ever, and what we’ve seen so far makes us think our wait was worth it.

Late 2024 Is When Ark 2 Will Come Out

Ark 2 won’t come out until 2024, again because Studio Wildcard pushed it back. Support company Snail Games said in December 2023 that Ark 2 would still come out in late 2024.

At The Game Awards in 2020, the survival MMO was first shown off. It was set to come out in 2022. Studio Wildcard pushed Ark 2 back to 2023 after two years of no updates. It was then pushed back again to 2024.

Studio Wildcard stated in a community post that the launch of ARK 2 has been pushed back “to the end of 2024.” They said, “We’ve put a lot of thought into delaying ARK 2 for the betterment of the final product and the team’s well-being…” So why the wait? “Our goal is to make ARK 2 the best game it can be and give players a truly unique and rewarding experience.”

Ark 2 is one of the most-anticipated PC games of 2024, but it will only be available on consoles for a short time. Ark 2 will only work on Xbox Series X when it first comes out. Ark 2 story

Genesis: Part 2 was the fifth and final paid DLC pack for ARK: Survival Evolved, and it came out in 2021. The Ark 2 story will take place in an unknown, alien world after Chapter 2. There isn’t a lot of information available yet about the story of Ark 2, but the ending of Genesis: Part 2 can help us figure out what’s going on.

The growth, which takes place on a huge colony ship, ends when the Genesis Ship breaks in two. One half, Rockwell’s messed-up ringworld, crashes into a gas planet, and the other half lies dormant in space.

At the very end of Genesis: Part 2, one of the Santiago clones wakes up from sleep just in time to be shot off the Genesis Ship’s wreckage at an unknown planet that looks a lot like Earth. It’s likely the world where Ark 2 takes place.

How To Play Ark 2

We haven’t seen any straight Ark 2 gameplay yet, but the game’s developer, Studio Wildcard, has begun to hint at what we can expect. At first, Ark 2 was supposed to be a lot like Ark, which was a “sandbox survival experience.” But things have changed.

There will be some pretty big differences between Ark 2 and its predecessor. As for the fighting, it will be a lot like Souls. You’ll be able to target-lock, block, dodge, do combos, staggers, and even special moves.

A bigger part of Ark 2 will also be crude weapons, “strict” third-person controls, and character movement systems like swinging, sliding, free-climbing, mantling, parkour, and more.

There are huge new alien environments in Ark 2, and things will happen in those environments that have nothing to do with what you’re doing. Then, deciding to interact with them will come with its own difficulties and rewards.

You can also make weapons and tools from different parts, letting you choose how they look and how they work. This means that there are millions of possible combinations. The materials used will also change how these things look.

Along with its E3 2022 announcements, Studio Wildcard also said that Ark 2 will support mod.io’s cross-platform mods and user-generated material. In other words, it will let mods and user-generated content work on both PC and Xbox.

“ARK 2’s fully stackable, user-created mods will open the door for players to generate new dinosaur and creatures, items, and gameplay features, with maps distributed across all platforms — including onto Xbox — and support for modded servers, via mod.io!” reads the message from the developer.
