Pokemon Go Adventures Abound: A Preview of the New Season’s Features, Events, and Rewards

Adventures Abound is the name of the next season of Pokemon Go, and Niantic has started to tease it. Here’s what we know so far, like when the Scarlet & Violet starter trio will be released.

Trainers of Pokemon Go are now looking ahead to what will happen in the next three months, since the Season of Hidden Gems will end on August 31, 2023.

The game’s social media pages have a teaser video with a silhouette of a mystery Pokemon dancing to some music. The video then shows a new logo with the name ‘Adventures Abound’.

Since the badge looks like logos from past seasons, it seems likely that this is the name of the next Pokemon Go season, which should run from September 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023.

If you’ve played Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you might know that silhouetted Pokemon is Quaquaval, the final form of the Water-type starter Quaxly from the Paldea region.

Paldea Starters Are Coming to Pokemon Go During Adventures Abound

There have been hints that Scarlet and Violet’s starters, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, will come to Pokemon Go in September 2023, so it’s likely that they’ll be the main characters of this new season.

It’s been said that Pokemon Go trainers will have to choose which of the three starter Pokemon they want to go on a journey with, just like in the mainline Pokemon Scarlet & Violet games.

Ultra Unlock Event Could Have More Paldea Region Pokemon

Trainers had to complete a total of 20 Global Challenges during the Pokemon Go Fest 2023: Global event in order to get future Ultra Unlock prizes, which they did.

One of the future perks is the chance to go to a special event from September 10 to September 15, 2023. Four new Bug-type, Electric-type, Flying-type, and Ice-type Pokemon are set to show up at this event.

Even though the names of these Pokemon haven’t been confirmed yet, it doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to think they’ll be from the Scarlet & Violet games, particularly since the Paldea region Pokedex is being used to promote this season.

There’s always a chance that these four Pokemon are from a different generation, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that more Scarlet and Violet Pokemon will show up.
